Scope:

To standardize the flight patterns of search aircraft when searching for survivors known or believed to be equipped with UHF and /or VHF personal locator beacons, in order that a search may be mounted using search aircraft of one or more member nations and may be co-ordinated by a Rescue Co-ordination Centre (RCC) of any member nation.
