Overview

Title:  SWITCHES, FIBER OPTIC, SHIPBOARD, (METRIC), GENERAL SPECIFICATION FOR (NO S/S DOCUMENT) Scope:  This specificaton covers the requirements for fiber optic switches. An optical signal is transferred from one path to another by an external force or energy applied to the switch. Excluded from this specification are switches that contain a separate optical source and optical detector. The switches must have consistent optical performance.
