Overview

Title:  Electrostatic Discharge Protective Packaging Scope:  This handbook provides detailed guidance to all personnel involved in assembly, handling, packaging, and storing of ESDS items, excluding ordnance and ordnance containing electronics. Items that contain ordnance assemblies may be considered an ESDS item; however, the static control and grounding required to ensure the safety of the item and ordnance operators are beyond the scope of this handbook. This handbook is for guidance only and cannot be cited as a requirement.
