Procedures for Installation, Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair of Absorber, Reflector, and Decoupler Acoustic Materials
Scope:
This standard practice establishes the procedures for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of acoustic absorber materials, acoustic reflector material, and acoustic decoupler materials. It is important that acoustic or acoustical materials and treatment not be confused with vibration damping materials. Procedures for the installation, maintenance, and repair of vibration damping materials are in accordance with MIL-STD-2148 and are not discussed herein.
