Scope:
This standard establishes a uniform identification code of all electrical cables and cords used by theDepartments of theArmy, Navy, and Air Force,except for the following, a. High-tension and low-tension cables for vehicular use covered by MIL-C-3702 and MILW-13486. b. Cables used for construction. c. Cables and cords for transmission of telephone, telegraph, and teletype signals covered by MIL-STD-685. d. Flexible coaxial cables.
