Overview

Title:  Fuel, Engine Design, Referee Grade, Type I and Type II (Metric)(No S/S Document) Scope:  This multifuel engine design referee grade fuel specification covers two types of referee diesel fuels for use in research, development, and engineering of next generation engine powerplant systems being designed for both combat/tactical vehicles and equipment, and equipment, and mobile electric power generators that will be required to operate on a considerably wider range of fuels which will not conform to VV-F-800. Engines that demonstrate satisfactory operability on both fuel types will be capable of operating on a wide range of commercially available fuels as well as those fuels of lower quality anticipated to be marketed in the 1990-2025 time frame.
