Department of Defense Interface Standard Section 300, Part 3 Low Voltage Electric Power Direct Current
Scope:
This military standard section establishes electrical interface characteristics for shipboard equipment utilizing or providing low voltage direct current (LVDC) electric power at 850 (nominal) volts for type I and type III power and 875 (nominal) volts for type II power (see 4.2 and 6.2) to ensure compatibility between electrical power sources and user equipment. Characteristics of the electrical interfaces as well as interface requirements and interface verification methods for electrical power sources and user equipment are provided. For equipment with multiple electrical power interfaces, this standard only applies to those interfaces utilizing the applicable voltages generated by the shipboard electrical distribution systems.
