Overview
Title:  Required Manufacturing Process Description (for Additive MFG.)
Scope:  The Required Manufacturing Process Description for Additive Mfg. (RMPD-AM) provides manufacturing criteria necessary to properly manufacture an item using an additive manufacturing process and equipment. The RMPD-AM is created as an element of the Technical Data Package (TDP) when it is determined that the additive manufacturing process must be defined and controlled to the extent necessary that it is considered a required manufacturing process. RMPD-AM will typically be ordered only when a Product Level TDP is required and the TDP is a Type 3D per MIL-STD-31000. (Note: The Required Manufacturing Process Description described in MIL-STD-31000C was previously known as the Critical Manufacturing Process Description.)
