Overview

Title:  Cursor on Target (CoT) Message Standard Scope:  This standard provides the Department of Defense (DoD) and other agencies with a joint interoperability standard, Cursor on Target (CoT). The CoT standard includes the CoT core Event schema, subschemas, elements, attributes, and protocol standards. These standard components are essential for the design, development, test, certification, fielding, and continued operation of CoT enabled automated tactical data systems (TDSs) which support the requirement to exchange timely, critical, command and control information across joint boundaries.
