Overview
Title:  Spatial Disorientation
Scope:  The purpose of this agreement is to formulate a common definition of
Situation(al) Awareness (SA) as it relates to Spatial Disorientation (SD) acceptable among
AFIC member nations, and to define the minimum the aviation medicine/physiological training
in spatial disorientation required by aircrew and flight surgeons of participating nations.
Training which meets the requirements of this document will be acceptable to all AFIC
member nations for the purpose of allowing trained aircrew to operate from any AFIC nation’s
aircraft.
