Overview

Title:  Acquisition and Sustainment Data Package (ASDP) Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) Information Scope:  The Acquisition and Sustainment Data Package (ASDP) Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) Information provides details regarding the current configuration of items being developed for, and used in, the Department of Defense (DoD) inventory; documentation and identification numbers relating to these items; changes to the items and their configuration documentation; and allows ingestion and traceability of this information in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution. This information is used to manage and provide support during the lifecycle of these items. a. This Data Item Description (DID) contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in 3.4 of SAE EIA-649-1, Configuration Management Requirements for Defense Contracts; 5.4 of SAE EIA-649, Configuration Management Standard; and 7. of MIL-HDBK-61, Configuration Management Guidance.
