Cartridge, 40 Millimeter: High Explosive Dual Purpose (HEDP) – Air Burst (AB), XM1176
Scope:
This specification prescribes the performance requirements and verification procedures for the Cartridge, 40 Millimeter: HEDP – AB, High Velocity (HV), XM1176 hereafter referred to simply as the XM1176 or the cartridge. The XM101 Fuze Setter Programming Unit (PU) defined by MIL-PRF-32622 is used with the XM1176 cartridges and Mk 19 Mod3 Grenade Machine Gun (GMG) to achieve air burst function.
