Overview

Title:  Common Parts Catalog for Industry Shipyards Scope:  This case describes how four industry shipyards and the Navy collaborated to develop a Common Parts Catalog (CPC)—a tool that uses catalog management techniques to promote parts standardization and management through data sharing—to dramatically reduce inventory, design, engineering, and life-cycle costs across the U.S. marine industry.
