Overview
Title:  Batteries, Storage: Automotive, Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA)
Scope:  This performance specification covers the general requirements for
automotive valve regulated lead acid storage batteries (VRLA), also known as Sealed Lead Acid Batteries (SLAB). The batteries are nominal 12-volt batteries that are generally used for starting, lighting and ignition applications and have non-removable covers.
