MAXIMUM PERMISSIBLE TEMPERATURES OF MATERIAL FOR SAFE CONTACT WITH BARE SKIN

Scope:
|
The object is to establish a method for: (a) predicting the maximum permissible temperature of any cockpit material for non-injurious contact with the bare skin; and (b) selection of appropriate materials and/or coating to provide thermally safe cockpit interiors to prevent injury and possible loss of operational control due to unexpected instantaneous pain or burn on contact.
