Scope:
This Standard provides complete general and dimensional data for two series of general purpose inverted tapered and reduced cross section retaining rings, and two series of general purpose beveled tapered and reduced cross section retaining rings, which may be used with the nominal size shafts and housings listed and in grooves of the recommended diminsions listed. Also included are formulas and tolerances on which dimensional data are based. Four appendices include guidance for assembly and recommended standard drawing formats.
