Scope:

The Computer Program Identification Number (CPIN) Catalog Information is used for the assignment of a CPIN for embedded computer system software. The CPIN is used by the Government for configuration management of software and to facilitate software distribution. The Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS) is the standard Air Force system used for the assignment and management of CPINs.
