Scope:  This commercial item description (CID) covers newly manufactured mineral type abrasive materials used with pressure blasting equipment. The abrasives are generally used for blast cleaning metal surfaces to remove scale, rust, paint, encrusted sand, dirt and other foreign material, and to prepare surfaces for applied finishes such as paints, plasma spray, and metal platings.
