Overview
Title:  Ships, Booklet of Inclining Experiment Data
Scope:  This data consists of two parts. The Inclining Experiment Report (Part 1) contains the observations and calculations leading to the determination of the displacement and location of the center of gravity of the ship in light condition. Stability Data (Part 2) for surface ships and Stability and Equilibrium Data for Submarines contain data relative to the characteristics of the ship in the operating conditions. Preliminary reports of Parts 1 and 2 permit evaluation of the ship's stability and reserve buoyancy and may indicate the necessity for action to improve the ship, a change in policy or weight control or additional inclining experiments.
