Overview
Title:  Shot Peening of Metal Parts (S/S by SAE-AMS2430)
Scope:  This specification covers procedure requirements for shot peening of metal parts, to induce residual compressive stresses in specified surfaces, for the purpose of improving resistance to fatigue, stress corrosion cracking, and galling (see 6.1).
