Title:
Test Equipment for use with Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Scope:
This specification covers the general requirements for, but is not limited to, test equipment (see 6.6.28) used in testing and calibrating electrical and electronic equipment. The test equipment may be of commercial design and includes general purpose, special purpose, peculiar, console mounted, automatic test equipment (ATE) (see 6.6.3), and calibration standards. This specification should also be used for built-in test equipment (BITE) (see 6.6.6) when the requirements for a built-in test (BIT) (see 6.6.5) are not included in the system specification. Detailed requirements for particular test equipment should be as specified (see 6.2).
