Scope:
This specification covers overhead traveling electric powered single and double girder cranes of the top running type, with capacities up to 25 tons. Overhead electric traveling (OET) cranes covered in this specification are not intended for heavy or severe duty use; for use in handling hot metal or fissionable material; or for use in hazardous areas as defined in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) No. 70, article 500.
