Scope:

This specification covers the general environmental requirements for the design, development, evaluation and laboratory testing of torpedoes. This specification sets forth the environmental limits within which torpedoes, related component, and associated equipment must operate satisfactorily and reliably. The detailed performance and test requirements for a particular torpedo, particular components, or associated equipment shall be as defined in the detailed specifications.
