Overview

Title:  Switch, Position, Proximity (Non-Contact) or Limit (Mechanical Contact), Fiber Optic, (Metric), (Naval Shipboard Use) Scope:  This specification covers the performance requirements and characteristics for fiber optic position switches (proximity or limit). This specification does not include switches which transfer an optical signal from one path to another by an external force or energy applied to the switch (see 6.1).
