Overview

Title:  Power Distribution, Illumination Systems, Electrical General Specification for Scope:  This specification covers soldier-portable, power distribution systems for use with the DoD Standard Family of Generator Sets and illumination utility sets. Three of the end items are three phase systems, one is a single phase system, and the utility set contains extension cords, branch circuits and lighting equipment. The three phase systems can be used in various combinations with each other to create a power grid which is generally limited to a 100 feet radius per system (i.e. 300 feet total) in order to prevent excessive voltage loss. The utility set can be used with any of the systems to achieve internal shelter wiring and lighting.
