Overview

Title:  Hemodiayzers, First Use (S/S by AAMI-8637) Scope:  For purposes of this standard, a hemodialyzer is defined as an extracorporeal device that changes the chemical composition of the blood by diffusion and convection of substances between the blood and a solution of chemicals through a semipermeable membrane.
