Overview

Title:  Cable and Wire; Thermoplastic-Insulated, General Purpose (0-to 600- Volt Service) (S/S by Fed-Std-242A) Scope:  The purpose of this standard is the establishment of a standard list for electrical cable and wire as required for ordinary maintenance and extension of circuits by Government maintenance activities. This standard will keep the varieties of such wire which are to be procured and stocked to the minimum consistent with such requirements.
